These are the kinda rates you are looking at up north, for someone who is MCSE & ITIL certified!

Serves you right for not living close to London.

No no... my current contract is the p!ss take of the day, I'm already on the worst rate I've ever had so much so I had to put my mortgage on interest only so I could afford to take it.

The client just rang me direct and said I should expect the agency to ring me about an extension if I take a 10% cut.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

The one I'm on the guy I work with through the same agency is on 20% more than me - I bet the agency bills the same for both of us though. My renewal is due on Tuesday and the client wants to keep me while I'm not keen on staying so I'll be looking for parity at the very least least.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

        I preferred version 1!

Public sector jobs have never paid much, no matter where in the country they are.
Oh, I’m sorry….I seem to be lost. I was looking for the sane side of town. I’d ask you for directions, but I have a feeling you’ve never been there and I’d be wasting my time.

Are you in the same place? Atlas?? The same thing has happened to me, he was renewed last week on his inflated rate yet I'm expected to take a cut on my already lower rate... my renewal date is also Tuesday.

No - working in Geneva so my costs are extorionate. I've been losing about 1k a month doing this.

How much is it paying? JS is blocked here.

Mmmmmmmm, I smell a plan B for someone: a JS proxy for all those at sites that block said place and it's cohorts.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
