    Why "from now on"? There's already been nearly 2,000 cases of swine flu confirmed in London. This poor sod just happened to have serious health issues already. A dodgy kebab would probably have carried him off.

      Only if you've got serious underlying health problems...

        I do - politicians make me sick.

        Does that count?
        Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

          Hate the whole doom mongering thing about this, but underlying health issues would be (According to nhs website):

          * people with:
          - chronic lung disease,
          - chronic heart disease,
          - chronic kidney disease,
          - chronic liver disease,
          - chronic neurological disease,
          - immunosuppression (whether caused by
          disease or treatment) and
          - diabetes mellitus,
          * patients who have had drug treatment for
          asthma within the past three years,
          * pregnant women,
          * people aged 65 years and older, and
          * young children under five years old.

          That's 3/4 of my family (inc me).

          Dooomed.

            You'd better stop in for 12 months then....

              LOL

              I reckon I'll catch it, I've two young kids in nursery, which are basically disease factories (Can't count how many times I've been sick in the last 2 years). Seems like the key is get to the Dr early and get the antivirals in ya (I got asthma so in one of those risk groups).

              Imagine we did this every year for normal flu's ...

              Don't panic, don't panic ...

                Another one - sadly a nine year old child this time.

                London, along with the West Midlands, is a swine flu hotspot.
                Anyone taking it seriously yet?

                  The youngster, from south London, had "serious underlying health problems", according to a spokesman for NHS London.

                  It brings the total number of deaths of people with swine flu in the UK to five.
                  No.

                    It'll be just my luck that if I get a job after three months on the bench I'll catch it. Might lose some weight off my face though so there'll be silver linings to it if it happens...

                    Why do they only say xx,xxx cases? Never tell you about those that got it and recovered, or how long they were laid up for.
