    Labour to increase education spending

    As Britain teeters on the edge of bankruptcy, bracing itself for cuts in public services and the inevitable increase of the state pension age to 70, Labour has decided to prioritise on increasing spending on education:

      I can't ever see an argument for not prioritising education. That said, I'm not optimistic it will make any difference to the education system - how does spending more money help when half the kids are from chav families who don't even make sure their young kids get enough sleep.

        ..or at least saying that education is a priority, which is what this government is actually doing IMV.

            to slow the growth of the unemployment numbers by keeping new entrants into the workforce at school or other education establishments.
