                As a child, realising that there was a place called West Kilbride, I thought that East Kilbride would be (a) close and (b) the same (small agricultural village).

                  Never understood that, the village in EK is actually quite a quaint little 17th street completely surrounded by 50s houses. A girl stopped me last night and asked me if there was anyone 'hanging about' the way I had just came as she did not like to go round there if there was. Think that area is a bit of an open air shabeen for the local bampots.
