    Present for baby

I'm going to a baby-welcoming party soon - (they're having it in lieu of a Christening). Any novel ideas for a present for the baby (boy)?

They have a massive house, so cheap bulky plastic junk is an option.

I am just going through the process of rasing my own so:
it depends if you want to impress the parents or the baby.
If the baby, give him sth that rattles and is colorful maybe.
For the parents you can give a Baby Mozart CD or just classical music.

We've got one of those and it's great. Eats batteries though.
