In a controversial cost-cutting measure Microsoft has outsourced all technical support to trained personnel in India, who will utilise the latest state-of-the-art systems to quickly diagnose system faults:

Microsoft UK outsourced all their techie work and support to India years ago.

Used to be a good place for a contract but now it's all done plenty cheapness, much quickness.

This has been common knowledge for a while now, along with IBM etc, there are almost none of the big IT vendors that have customer support functions in the west any more. The rest of the medium as smaller ones will follow.

That's an improvement. They've learned something at least.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
