The Director General of the BBC has announced the immediate closure of the BBC News Service.

"We are crap. We are slower than Sky News and even then we just copy 'n' paste their quotes. We're giving up and going home."

A spokespleb for SKy News said "We wouldn't have known about it either but for our continuous monitoring of the UK's most important web site, Contractor UK. We heard about the story from a contract journalist called swamp."
