    Got a skin infection :(

Nurse Practitioner last night gave me the news - expaling my mad itching and feeling awful.

Did not state which infection, but has the signs of impetigo.

However, I saw my grandfather with Scabies around 2-3 weeks ago - apparantly it takes a couple of weeks for scabies to get really inflamed, so I am thinking I may have scabies.

Am in work today, but questioning if this is a wise decision!!

By the way, there was someone in the docs yesterday at reception with swine flu symptoms at the reception desk despite signs all over asking people with suspected swine flu not to enter!!

Of course its a good move. You can go round infecting everyone who dislikes you. Which is probably the entire office.

If it is impetigo (clear weeping from sores) it is HIGHLY infectious.

Also, if they give you antibiotics for it, beat the tulip out of them. (I have a long and scary story about an entire community being infected for best part of a year because the local GP did not know how to treat it.)

        WTF?

        I think I've heard enough.

I have a "Twilight Zone" feeling.

When I read it the first time round, I thought he said his grandfather had rabies.

Impetigo used to be called the "kissing disease" when I was a lad.

Unlikely you've got that then as I can't see you being kissed

Nah, the "kissing disease" is Glandular Fever, Shirley?

Common amongst rugby players hence its other moniker, scrumpox
