    Diy thread of the day

My fence in the back garden needs to be protected and wondered what the best product to use is.

I used to use creosote years ago but this was banned recently and replaced with another oil based product called creocote.

There also seem to be more timber care type products - e.g Ronseal Timbercare. Are these any good?

In my mind creoste type products are more effective and longer lasting. Are they?

Is it rich and famous? has it done something naughty? Perhaps you could employ some heavies to guard it.

The Irish fencing team were pretty good.

Until they ran out of creosote.

Cupinol with one of those spray applicators works well and comes with a kind of guarantee.
