    PC Died suspect PSU

The old dell 8250 has died, I suspect it's the PSU, but I'm not sure which PSU to get to replace the old one, It has IDE drivers

There's some useful info (and a mention of the 8250) towards of the bottom of this article.

Essentially you can use a standard ATX PSU with respect to pinouts, but you may have an issue with respect to the physical size of the PSU when fitting it in the Dell chassis.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

I know what you mean - the mother-out-law desperately needs some more RAM for her Dell desktop, but the maximum it'll support is 1GB and Crucial reckon that will set her back almost £40.

Crikey, I'd forgotten about that stuff. I'm surprised you can still get it to be honest.
