    People's mobiles on planes

    FFS, how difficult is it for some people.

    Pilot on last nights flight home had to ask people to stop turning on their phones whilst he was on final approach, as it was causing too much interference over his headset.

    I guess the people who insist on leaving them on during flights are either;
    1) so very important that it is essential that someone can get hold of them for the 10 mins the plane is on finals and then taxi-ing. or
    2) tw@ts

    Actually, I think I only needed the one option.

    (3) So utterly sad that the only validation they get of their self-worth is receiving text messages

      If I was a pilot, as soon as I detected that someone had turned on a phone I'd start making the plane veer about a bit and put out a tannoy message asking whoever had turned their phone on to turn it off quick as the plane was out of control.

      They wouldn't do it again!
