The Met Office that do the Climate Change predictions....

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8173533.stm

The real problem for the Met Office is that this is the third summer in a row where its forecast has failed.

In 2007, the Met Office chirped: "The summer is yet again likely to be warmer than normal. There are no indications of a particularly wet summer."

We got downpours and floods in the wettest summer for England and Wales since 1912. Temperatures were below average.

In April 2008, the Met Office forecast: "Summer temperatures are likely to be warmer than average and rainfall near or above average."

That did not prepare people for one of the wettest summers on record with high winds and low sunshine.

Public sector numpties in charge of shaping the world's climate policies.

It is a far cry from the "barbecue summer" it predicted back in April.
I wonder if they made this prediction based on April being hot?

Hey, don't knock the predictions. They are based on stats produced by dull little anoraks like SG. He swears by them, and they even shape government policy!

No, nuLieBore government policy shapes the stats.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
