Happily married here. As Paul Newman remarked "Why go out for a burger when you have steak at home?".

            a) no AndyW option

            b) no gig will ever again make me spend another night away from my wife. Either the money covers her accommodation too, or I don't take the gig. I didn't get married to live in some firkin hotel room on my own.

I must say that up until now, chasing contracts meant that I'd work almost anywhere.

I will be looking for a contract a commute away from home next time...

I just have to be stronger about saying "no" to a good contract that involves staying away...

Will have to speak to Mr C about this. I would hate to pass a good contract only for him to ask me if I was mad/ill..

Away from home at the moment, hating it ! Been doing this for too many years now. Getting to the point of considering a permie position just to be close to home.

Look on the bright side; while away from home you can snore and fart to your heart's content all night without getting an elbow in your ribs.

The truth of it is, it's my other half who keeps me awake snoring, so spend the weekends in the spare room

                    but still......
