Are you who you say you are

Does anyone know this guy ?

A man who stole the identity of a dead baby and used the name for 23 years is being sentenced today.

The man, whose real identity remains a mystery, assumed the name of Christopher Edward Buckingham, who died aged nine months in 1963.

He was caught in January when immigration officials checked his passport at Calais and realised it had been obtained by deception.

Police allowed Buckingham to board a ferry to Dover but he was arrested on arrival at the Kent port.

He claimed to be Lord Buckingham, after inheriting the title on his father's death, and used the Buckingham coat of arms.

However, checks with the Royal College of Arms found they were last held in the early 1700s.

Buckingham, who has worked in IT for a large Swiss company, pleaded guilty to making an untrue statement for the purpose of obtaining a passport at Canterbury Crown Court last month.

He was remanded in custody while reports were prepared and today he is due to be sentenced at the same court.

Detectives said last month that Buckingham had been warned by a judge that he could be in contempt of court unless he revealed his true identity.
He's also Married and got hids.

How Fecked up must they be now.

The one in the Times was a bit better, taken from when he first started posing as Lord Buckingham. I guess he hasn't aged well...

Well, the guy has been sent down.

BTW, doesn't this make a mockery of the rules requiring agents having a copy of your passport?

He had a nasty car accident a year ago requiring cosmetic surgery, and his ex says there's a big difference in the police photo from the Chris she knew.

                  Translation is
Audrey Buckingham with picture of its child Christopher At the English border a Faehrpassagier is arrested: He stole the identity of a deceased baby two decades ago and lived on inconspicuously - also in Switzerland. Who real is it? Sebastian Borger, Kurt Brandenberger It must have been in the year 1983, when there was a break in its life, perhaps liberating for it, certainly however imperceptibly for others: The man, at that time at the beginning of 20, seized - described as in Frederick Forsythes thriller "the Schakal" - the name and the identity of a baby, who had died two decades before. From now on it as Christopher Edward Buckingham lived an inconspicuous life - among other things in Zurich, where it worked as a computer advisor of an insurance. In the meantime the past caught up it: With a passport check on the ferry from Calais to Dover "Buckingham" was arrested in January by the British police. Its attempt to spend itself as a lord failed, because the police as proof the submitted, with which seal of the aristocracy sex Buckingham unmasked provided writing paper as falsification. Finally the man confessed the wrong identity. Who is it? The genuine Christopher Edward Buckingham died in the summer 1963 during one family vacation on England south coast. Its nut/mother Audrey, at that time 24, had briefly left the rented caravan, in order to procure for its two older children Fish ' n ' chip. With its return that lay nine months old baby dead in the Bettchen. "it was still warm, did not breathe however no more", reported those meanwhile to 66-Jaehrige under tears of their local newspapers in Edinburgh. In the hospital the cause of death could not be clarified at that time perfectly. How and when did the cheat come to the papers of the baby? The wrong Buckingham is silent. "assume we that the man says a terrible secret with itself carried", to Dave Sprigg, the kriminalbeamte of the southEnglish county Kent entrusted with the case. He cannot say more. Also at the court hearing against "Buckingham" one did not approach the true identity of the man. It stands firmly only that he could procure himself with the birth certificate of the baby and an explanation in lieu of an oath a passport. Admit are also some stations of its life. Briefly after he had added himself a new identity, he became acquainted with its later wife Jody, with the Trampen in Germany a kanadierin. The two lived some time in Bavarian high swan gau, as it were in the shade of the lock of Ludwig II., before they returned to the marriage to England. After the divorce 1997 "Buckingham" kept its domicile in the centralEnglish Northampton, worked however in Zurich as a IT specialist. Its both children, today 19 and 17 years old, visited him there still sporadically. With its inhabitants of zurich friend the wrong Buckingham bought a house in Germany, close Swiss border eighteen months ago ago. On a journey from Northampton to Zurich "Buckingham" had a heavy traffic accident, which he only scarcely one year ago survived and which forced him to several cosmetic operations. "the police photo differs very strongly from the Chris, which I could do, say" the divorced wife Jody. Until the court specifies the measure of punishment in Canterbury, "Buckingham" continues to sit in remand. Possibly still another further punishment is added to the condemnation because of identity fraud and delivering a wrong insurance in lieu of an oath: Since "Buckingham" refuses itself abandoning the correct name a further condemnation threatens him because of ignoring the court. The police works further on the case. "we want to know, which secret the man stresses hidden", Sprigg. "I am exactly the same. I would like to finally know, who it is real ", says its Exfrau.

Very enlightening Mrs Goof. Especially the bit about its nut-mother.

I look forward to the film.
