Would Gordon Brown get a lucrative post-PM job?

Like a directorship, or an envoy or something.

Trouble is, he's no economist, he's a poor manager, he overcomplicates 'solutions', he's really cr*p at presenting information, he's incompetent, he's an interfering micromanager, nobody likes him, and he's a c***. Have I missed anything?

So, unlike many MPs who coin it in, I can't see him getting any gigs.

BUT... is there something out there that he could do, at good pecunary reward?

    You overestimate human nature.

There will always be people happy to pay to have him come and open their fete / supermarket / bowels.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

I can see him taking a slot on one of those consumer-affairs TV shows where he helps out people struggling with bureaucracy and explains how it works to them.

He'd make a fortune in a "End of the pier" sling a pie at his face show.

If Blair can get something, I'm pretty sure that Brown also will.

I have always wondered why any company wants these ex-pms. Once they are no longer in the job they are no longer useful.

Maybe its payoff for favours while in office.

My local council is looking for a road sweeper!

I've got a gig for him.

                Bit of a one-off though.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Oh come on. If John Major can sit on Carlyle Group's board, there's a place in the sun for any ex-PM.
