    Skill set

Just wondering what skill set out of the following would be more beneficial as i will more than likely be benched sometime in the coming month :

    Linux Admin
    Network Admin
    Network Security

I have a tip of the iceberg background of all 3 just wondering which one would be best to turn my attention to full time.

Dunno about linux, but of the network ones - security isn't going away, and companies aren't cutting back on their security budgets ....

Anything security related. Especially if you can get yourself a SC gig.

Don't do security. There's far too many of us already, the markets swamped, nothing to see here, move on...

Yes, as a security expert, I agree that it would be bad for you to do security. When I came to Britian there were a lot of security jobs but now not so many.

Whats the easiest way of getting SC at the moment? I have previously been DV whilst serving about 4 years ago but alas it is no more

No i mean i have administered Solaris 10 and RHEL5 from a 2nd line point of view. I have undertaken a contract rolling out a spoke vpn cisco infrastructure across 12 countries for a defence contractor and I have recently passed CCNA security after giving a law firm I am at a rewrite of the pix config. So nowhere near competent enough to do it as a main profession but I have dipped my toe so to speak
