    The youth of today

Ooh dear, it's not like me to get all Daily Waily, but nextdoor neighbour's son has just turned up at the door asking if he could do some work in my garden. I have set him to work cleaning moss and weeds from the lower patio.

All well and good, but the young chap (15 years old) was wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the anthem 'F|_|ck you very much' and had a gold chain hanging around his neck, quite obviously from 'Kijkshop', the Dutch equivalent of Argos.

Should I move house before this previously genteel neighbourhood becomes totally chavvified?

At least he's showing a willingness to graft. He's cut out the middle man and gone direct to the client to offer his services. He could be a contractor in the making

Ask him if he's got a hot looking big sister who likes doing a bit of 'housework' on the side.

Have you considered a house-swap with Wilmslow?

He doesn't sound that bright! He didn't ask for money, just the pleasure of working in your garden. I'm happy to pay that rate also - can you send him round to ours when he's done?
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

              I preferred version 1!
