If so you are a muppet! When the 20p dispensor gets stuck why not dispense 2 10p coins instead of having to drag over one of the store assistant.

Whoever coded it up is a muppet.

maybe 10p pieces don't fit in the 20p dispenser

Maybe they don't want an extra 20p to drop out free to the next customer who gives the machine a good thump.

        Two trails of thought here...

        1. What if the till had run out of 10p's?

        2. It may be possible that there is some logic behind not giving out 2 x 10p coins that we are not able to comprehend.... such as... 10p's are more in demand than 20p's.

Also, have you considered the possibility that one of those 20p's could be a new issue which doesn't have a date stamp on it and could be worth 50 notes?

If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

Drag over a store assistant for a measly 20p
Just let it go. You're a loaded contractor FFS - even Bill Gates wouldn't stoop down to pick up $4000 so he's hardly likely to be worried about 20p

Bill Gates was notorious for cutting out and using money off vouchers.

Speaking as a submissive masochist, I think the self-service tills are great.

I love the way they refuse your gift of a £10 note two or three times before begrudgingly accepting it.

Then, the way they make you bend down and grovel for your change is the icing on the cake.

must be a new way to increase revenue, most people wouldn't either check
their change or bother the store asistant for 20p. as they say 'every little helps'

The Tesco self service tills tried to short change me.

Only 10p, but as they say, "every little helps".
