    £99+VAT For TomTom for iPhone...

    Sheesh.

Given a very small proportion of apps exceed the £3 bracket, this seems a bit rich from TomTom. Only the bracket and GPS amplifier would address that, but to the tune of £100? Really? Does it cost that much to manufacture the hardware?

Doesn't seem like good business sense to me - even at £70 they'd probably make tonnes more cash selling to a wider market.

make tonnes of sales at £70 to people who would otherwise buy a Tomtom at £140.

They probably think that iPhone buyers have already paid over the odds for technology that's only just catching up so they won't mind paying over the odds for their software.
