          That is the great thing about rural Scotland, you hear gunshots and you only mention it when someone asks you have you seen the beavers recently "na, no beavers, but I did hear a few shots fired the other day"

          Farmers are poisoning wild eagles all the time so beaver is just a big rat to them.

              "We suspect that the noise from the shooting has disturbed these animals even if no direct link between the shooting and disappearance is found."
              So they've jumped to conclusions for the sake of a headline.
