    Moral dilemma

My psychic senses tell me that the large garden spider outside my kitchen window was Joseph Stalin in a previous life.

Should it be forgiven or squashed?

What has it done to make you suspicious?
Oh, I’m sorry….I seem to be lost. I was looking for the sane side of town. I’d ask you for directions, but I have a feeling you’ve never been there and I’d be wasting my time.

Squash it. Then the forces of evolution will, inevitably, invent a spider that is either a) not scary to humans or b) invisible.

Neither. While it is outside, it can continue to be prey to birdies.
