    My Jobserver

Probably like the most of you here, I get a daily e-mail with a tailored listing of contracts available and it quite astonishes me sometimes as to how stupid agencies must think we are. For example todays had the following job specs in it:

    Position: Mainframe Developer - Solihull
    Location: Solihull
    Rate: £23 - £24 per hour
    followed by:

Position: IBM Mainframe Support Consultant-DB2-VS Cobol-IMS/DC-Midlands
    Location: Midlands
    Rate: up to £26.50 /Hour
Both are the same job yet 2 different rates. Guess which one is an S3 company and to which agency most people would apply to? Interestingly enough, the link to the lower paid one no longer exists.

Also I like the one that had this:

    Rate: 550.00 /Hour Neg
For months now (8+) there has been the specs for Teradata specialists in the Knutsford area which makes me think the positions do not exist and jobs based on the following:

Position: DB2 DBA-French Speaker- Czech Republic
    Location: Czech Republic
    Rate: Euros 1400 - 1700 per Month
The job description has varied here (I never knew iSeries were mainframes) but all ways in the Czech Republic, always the same rate (this is a permie job BTW) which is probably okay for there but what about relocation, etc.? What gets me about this one is that they hark on about the cheap cost of living and the country before actually saying anything about the job.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Working...
