It is my fault for not getting enough information out of him during the handover apparently. I did try and make an analogy about mechanics returning their tools to the correct boxes, but this was met with "Mechanics do leave their tools lying around, you expect that".

This has to go live by 5pm, no excuses.

If you can`t do it just deploy a "Hello World!" applliation to the server that also announces that the product might contain issues that will be fixed in the next deployment.

Only deploy the code from VSS. More specifically, deploy the same code from VSS that was deployed to UAT. That's what UAT is for, right?!
