Recruiter 'paying clients to shun contract IT staff'

    I particularly like the bit:-

'As a result, he hopes fewer full-time techies will lose work to IT contractors, who, for not adding to overheads, are now more in demand at the agency than at any time since 2000.'

It's a one way bet for them. Recruiters usually receive the first three months salary in fees, so this chap is just cutting his take slightly. Also no one is going to quit a job in this recession unless it's really tulipe, so he will get all his money.

Pls contractors readying that could be thinking, "Blimey, he must have a few gigs going if demand is that high" and he can top up his CV database and references list nicely as a result.

"Recruitment consultant reduces fees by 33% in a gimmicy way to get free advertising" shocker!

        Who'd a thunk it.
