Group exercise at a second interview...

Anyone done one of these before? What kind of exercise/activity did you do? Just wondering if there is a common theme to such interviews and if they can be prepared for, or are they all completely different.

I know it holds permiedom relevance, doubt any of us have done them as a contractor.

would never do a second interview. You either hire my company or you don't. Smart folks hire sy01 ltd.

Must admit, most of my contracts want me there tomorrow. I wonder about the importance of the project/role to the business if they can afford the faff of a 2nd interview...

Second interview for a contract role?

Not good if this is a sign of things to come.

Agreed, can't say I've waited more than a few hours to get an offer when the interview result has been positive

My current end client spent three months interviewing permies, second interviewing and then testing. They then decided not to employ any of them. It appeared to me a management exercise.

                Eh?

Unheard of, 1 interview, start as soon as they can get you a desk, pooter and login (if you're lucky!)

I did one once where you had to instruct a group of people to distribute a load of tennis balls in certain proportions to a bin in each corner of the room. Then you had to get them to redistribute the balls among the bins in a different ratio. Oddly enough, it was harder than it sounds, I guess it's supposed to demonstrate leadership and the ability to keep a cool head.
