What programming language should I learn?

Well as Ferret pointed out yesterday, only boring people get bored.
So I have decided to go back to my roots, learn a new programming language and recapture some of that sheer fun and enthusiasm of coding I had as a teenager.
What language should I learn and why?
I wouldn't mind if it also had some commercial demand, obviously. I have already programmed extensively in SAS, Java, VBA so those don't count.

Most of the procedural languages are pretty similar really - you are just learning syntax. Why not try ML - no practical application* - but quite fun.

      Mmmm curried functions ...

*Helpful with XSLT - so could come in handy.

              Is that the SAP language?
Obviously cash in that but sounds dull as ditchwater, so that's a no.
