I thought you were to come out of the closet so to speak.

Much as many would hate to admit it, we as a people have more in common with septics than we do with anyone else bar Aus/NZ.

The relationship is on a downer at the moment following the one-way special relationship of Blair and Bush, and the obvious inadequacy of our current incumbent.

My impression is that the "Special Relationship" was first mentioned by Churchill around the end of WW2, and it's been a feature of british foreign policy mainly since the Suez canal backpedalling. But it's never been a feature of US foreign policy has it? I bet most Americans have never heard of it.

We have the same relationship with the US as a gimp has with its owner.

First post says it all possibly
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Hopefully it will mean we dont have to extradite that autistic chap.

So far Obama seems to be pandering to his enemies and upsetting his allies. How long before the whole world hates the USA?

As part of the special relationship, we can keep him in exchange for Gibraltar and the Falklands.

Anyone see Question Time last night?

The first question was to do with Brown apparently snubbing Obama at the G20 conference.

When it came to Michael Heseltine answering the question he mentioned the 'special relationship' and put it well when he said there is no special relationship and the only people who ever go on about it are the Brits and that it's never mentioned in the US.

                    Says it all really!
