Child Tax Credits - Does Anyone Claim Them

Working on the assumption that most of us operate within a Ltd company, decalre income within 0% tax bracket and pay ourselves dividends out of the company up to just under the higher rate of tax, how would we stand wrt Child Tax Credits ?

Does anyone claim for them or are there rules that dividends count as income and therefore is not worth claiming etc etc ?

Surely someone can advise him how to defraud the taxpayer?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Sometimes this forum feels like it's designed by HMRC to get contractors to fess up to all their tax scams. I wonder if there is an HMRC forum where we can put posts titled 'Can anyone tell me what the criteria is for giving Johny contractor the hair-dryer treatment?'
