    Brown plans business summer camps

    Brown plans business summer camps

Because in the opinion of this fraud Chancellor, "too little is done to identify, encourage and inspire future business leaders."

Well you got that bit right Brown ... understatement of the year.

Maybe the aggressive and punitive tax regime alongside the myriad of regulation developed under your watch Brown is the route cause - you idiot.

Maybe the real reason behind Brown's sentiments is his tax revenues continue spiralling downward as more small businesses succumb to the Inland Revenue and more of their clients relocate overseas.

"By next year, the government promises, every school in the UK will give 14 to 16-year-olds the chance to learn about business and enterprise."

Yea right - and what exactly do civil servants know about running a business ?

The most valuable genuine advice that could be given to these youngsters is:

"If you take the plunge - FFS don't do it here in the UK because the UK Government has a huge army of civil servants absolutely chomping at the bit to close you down the first opportunity they get".

    Go Gordon

"Winners of enterprise competitions will be rewarded with placements with top UK companies. "

So basically it means that the taxpayer(Govt sponsered initiative) is paying for a recruitment service sponsered by the government for FTSE 100 companies.
There are no evil thoughts except one: the refusal to think

And all it achieves is to create one or two new employees within safe & ready established corporations - hardly new businesses.

What I reckon is that Gordon Brown simply fancies fronting the next series of "The Apprentice".

"...inspired, in part, by Sir Alan Sugar's TV series The Apprentice and BBC's The Dragon's Den"

Maybe a good idea if its a bit like the things they do in some American schools with students competing to see who can make the most money ala 'Risky Business', in which case cost to taxpayers would be minimal.

Anyway ever watched the Trump version of the apprentice by the way?, saw a repeat of it recently and it was quite vicious....

              Why not?

Of course, these things have to be handled "fairly".

GORDON: So Darren, your team sold the most ice creams in five hours.

DARREN: By a mile, yes. We made £958.

GORDON: Darren, what workplace regulations and rules did you write and put in place for selling those ice creams?

                  DARREN: Er, none.

GORDON: And what advice and guidelines did you seek from the employment regulation advisers, health and safety advisers, occupational health advisers, environmental waste advisers, fire inspection and compliance adviser, Inland Revenue officers, Customs and Excise officers, Data Protection Act consultants, packaging control and waste advisers, chemical storage, handling and transport advisers, good laboratory practice consultants, and accountants and auditors?

                  DARREN: Er, none.

GORDON: And what big company employs you, to make sure you eventually pay a fair and correct amount of tax and NICs?

                  DARREN: Er, none.

                  GORDON: Darren, you're fired.

GORDON: Oh, before you go, the tax due on your ice cream sales is £1477, so leave a cheque on your way out.
