It was rubbish.
I'd put 100 years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez high up the list as when I read that aged 16 it was the first book given to me as part of a school course that had been written within my lifetime (just).
I read it in both English and Spanish and loved every moment of it.
I re-read it a couple of years back and while it brought back memories, the impact of the first reading is no longer there.Comment

Ruthless required reading for any (and every) aspiring contractor.
Nomadd
Example quote: "A wise [contractor] should establish himself on that which is in his own control and not in that of others." You see, it even covers IR35, 500 years before it was introduced.Last edited by nomadd; 4 October 2009, 19:54.nomadd liked this postComment

read "World War Z".
Its a cracking read, think of interview with the vampire or Bridgette Jone's diary mixed with an apocalyptic George Romero zombie movie.
Its a series of interviews with people during the aftermath of a global zombie war.
I loved it and its going to be made into a film via Brad Pitt's production company.Comment
