VAT Return for end of Nov!!!

When do people start bugging their accountants for numbers to put on their VAT form.

I just got mine today and it is the first time I am having to do one

    I don't.

I'm on the flat rate scheme and do it myself. I also haven't brought any expensive pieces of equipment.......

          I don't - I do it myself.

And remember that HMRC have just changed (or are about to change) their bank account details for VAT payments.

            Changed in July ..

I hope HSBC have updated their predefined payees list, as there is no way to check where your money is actually going if paying online ..

Might be worth a quick call to check. If you've got a payment already set up, I'd delete it and create a new one - in fact with Abbey you can't change the payment (despite their being an option to do it!)

I had to pay my last lot of VAT via the HMRC website because HSBC hadn't updated their details and don't let you delete or amend payees.

I think there the only online banking I've used so far with this stupid rule.

joey122 ask your accountant how to do your VAT and do it yourself it's not very hard as regardless of who does it, you are responsible for it as the director of your LtdCo. If you get stuck (or forget) ring HMRC and they will tell you how to do it, and finally if you can bothered to look there are instructions of how to do a VAT return online.

I do it myself. Did when I was on the VAT Cash Accounting scheme. No point paying the accountant £75 +VAT to complete a piss easy return.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!
