Thanks.

Thanks. There is a setting somewhere where you can control what is shown when you look at someone's profile.

You can set it to show nothing.

It's when you are setting up your profile

I wish I could be arsed with LinkedIn, but I can't.

Where can I get some motivation?

if you can't then don't; just leave it to those who can.

There is a setting on whether you want it logged or not that you looked at someone's profile. There are three options - reveal my name, reveal my location and industry, or don't audit it.

Can't remember where it is set, though - try the FAQ section on LinkedIn, which is where I found it.

From the FAQ:
1. Click on 'Accounts & Settings' link found in upper right area of home page.
2. Click on 'Profile Views'.
3. Select one of the following:

1. Show my name and headline.
2. Only show users my anonymous Profile characteristics (default setting).
3. Don't show users that I've viewed their Profile.
