Going by your vote, I think you might benefit from something I posted elsewhere just the other day...

Why in God's name are you even thinking about signing up with an EBT?

They are people out there looking at six figure tax bills for using a scheme that was legal when they started it but no longer is. HMG are now actively looking at all such schemes and are closing them down properly. Offshore EBT's are probably the hardest to stop, but stopped they will be. They are also the most risky place to put your money outside shares in RBS.

You're being a greedy prat. I suggest you have a rethink...
FWIW two accountants and a brolly MD on that board agreed with me.
        Blog? What blog...?

          Oh Please....

It depends on your definition of risk - if youare prepared to ... try it for a year and see how it goes... see if HMRC can bin it then just do it.

Never mind the mamby pamby - "don't do it!!" just in case tulip.

Do it if you think you can afford the risk - don't if you can't.

          It;s simple.

I'll see your "Not worth listening to" and raise you "Thicker than 2 very short planks"

Come on Ferret, you know you want to

If I could afford to take a risk of that magnitude, I wouldn't need to be contracting

Yes it is, as simple as finding the single quote on a keyboard

So a pretty conclusive outcome then. Out of 18 votes, none currently using an EBT.

It was useful to canvas the usage of them.

                    cheers
