I know a few places in Denmark and Holland (so I suspect it happens in the rest of Europe) that have their UK facing departments working on UK time.

Why don't we just remain at GMT the whole year round?

It is a myth that Scotland actually wanted this.

          Keep it how it is.

If you cannot cope with 1 hour difference between UK and EU then you are not competent to be in international business in the first place. The US manage and they have 4 time zones across their main land.

It also give a competitive advantage when dealing with the US.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

              Whs.

Btw, it's called GMT for a reason! The rest of the world takes its time from us, the Great British!

Rules is rules, and we all know where we'd be without rules, France!!!

No thanks. The hour ahead means you have time to sip coffee and read the papers before the phone starts going.
