Is it me, or does it feel like 1970 again?

Three terms of a Labour government, 2.5 million on the dole, recession, strikes, MP's p!ss!ing our money away.

It feels like the 1970's again!

All we need now is a winter of discontent, a three day week and Starbucks branches to be replaced by greasy worker's caff's serving milky tea and fry-ups.
'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

The lights are still on and here's a war so actually it feels like the 80's. Someone remind me who was in charge then?

Tony Benn was dribbling on in the papers this week about how concorde was such a great thing because it kept 250,000 people in a job.

Aye, right you are Tony, perhaps we can all get in linen cloths and build great pyramids on Holland Park for the next decade.

Sounds good to me. Being able to sit at a little table and get decent tea for £1 instead of a giant mug of too-strong fancy coffee for £3, and a bacon sandwich instead of over-priced croissant.

If you think I'm going back to school in those poxy grey shorts, you can think again!

Yep, still waiting for some power cuts, quite possible as our electricity is run by the french now.

I have no idea, I was still inside my mummy's tummy in 1970.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
