At what time today can I start on the booze?

I'm fed up now. I've done a permie application form and updated my records and fired off some CVs.

As practice for being in a permie job, can I now stop work for the week and start the weekend drinking?

    I need advice and guidance.

You mean you haven´t started yet?

Are you a mormon or something?

Is there a significant other that will frown upon an early snifter?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

You need to knock off now for an hour, get down the pub, dring 5 pints, talk louldly and spill your beer on someone. Grab a squashed sandwich on the way back and spill crumbs, lettuce and mayo on your keyboard. Then after 10 mins of that spend the afternoon walking around whilst drinking coffee.

                Damn.

"Don't forget we need to go food shopping tonight. And don't you have an application form with a deadline of today? Then don't you think you should be getting on with that? Then, when you've done that, we can get the shopping out of the way, then dinner and then you can have a drink, OK?"

Arse. If I was in work I could just slope off to the pub.

You don't have a warchest in the fridge? No wine cabinet? What kind of a contractor are you?

"vodka with cornflakes for breakfast is pushing it a bit but if it's past 10am or it's Friday then I'd say that's early enough, plus it get's rid of the port wine stained teeth from the night before.."
