    Charging for Time Abroad

If you have to go abroad for a contract, for a period of time, how do you charge the customer.

Obviously you are away from home for 24 hours per day and it is unsociable and inconvenient.

How do you charge to gain recompense from the client for this.
Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

If the entire contract is abroad, up your day rate.

If it's a one off, charge for time travelling + day rate

If you signed up for working abroad at the beginning of the contract, it's your daily rate* as usual.

You did negotiate for a half-day/day's rate for Sunday travelling, didn't you?

I did it as a fixed price jobbie as it was only a part of the contract.
