Get turned down on friday for 'living too far away', then contract is readvertised on monday by another agent. Obviously, I send in my CV for the new ad. Certainly not the first time this has happened, but what's going on? Some of these ads just look too real to be fishing trips, so something's going on. Perhaps the agents are selecting the wrong people based on the wrong criteria (like age, experience of using a particular bug tracker, place of residence), sending the CV's to clients, who then say 'these are crap, I'm phoning another agent' and then the contracts appear all over again?
Oh, just got a mail asking me if I can administer Avaya systems; the keyword search again. I once did some testing of an Avaya call centre.
FFS it says on my CV in effing great letters 'SOFTWARE TEST SPECIALIST'. Not systems admin, business anal ist, developer, DBA or anything like that.
