    CFKAE* gets new religious building

I thought Chico et al would like to contribute to this amazing new project in East London:

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...892780,00.html

“The project’s backers hope the mosque and its surrounding buildings would hold a total of 70,000 people, only 10,000 fewer than the Olympic stadium...'It will be something never seen before in this country. It is a mosque for the future as part of the British landscape'.”

Given that it is the Olympic site that is proposed, I would have thought a temple to Hermes would be more appropriate. I see no reason why ancient pantheons should be excluded from the embracing of cultural diversity.

      Mosque will have desired effect

Newham Council will give planning permission for the mosque (as they have done already for dozens of others) and will most likely also give annual grants (as they have done already for dozens of others).

In return the ruling (Labour) party can stay in power due to the block voting by the muslims.

So, its not just the muslims who benefit -corrupt politicians also benefit.

If anyone wonders if Newham needs a new mosque all they have to do is travel down East Ham High Street and count the number of mosques on one road.

I think they should also grant permission to build a 40,000 seat Mormon temple too

And I also agree that permission is a given. The council will be far to scared to turn this one down.

If this doesn't stir up the racists ... no, not just racists, but people who see their country as the know it being stolen from under their noses.

Actually it doesn't look that bad. Certainly not as imposing as it would be if it was a traditional style mosque with minarets and everything.

Quite big though, having about the same footprint as the Millenium dome.

But what will we do about it? Nothing! We have been so wrapped up in anti this that and the other laws that no-one will dare speak out. A sad reflection on 'Great' Britain

They are asking for 'donations' from the UK and abroad

As we see the rise of extremists, we should not act all surprised and indignant. France are already seeing it.
