Help With New Flat

Just moving into a new flat where I commute Monday to Friday and wonder how I invoice utility bills.

Is there a simple way of doing this

Assuming you just mean invoicing your company - get the receipt and stick it through the accounts. That's what I did.

If you use the flat for personal use (e.g. weekends when you aren't working) then you will need to declare that bit as a BIK.

Or you could apportion the costs between personal and business use and just claim the business use. No BIK charge would apply then.

What I meant was that if you are claiming the whole lot as a business expense, then don't spend any time there when you aren't working - either you incur a BIK or you need to pay for it yourself. Either way, it's a hassle to remember to do it.
