It was only a joke, but he went mental. I didn’t realise that he felt so strongly about it.
“Get your fraking lymie ass back over this side so you don’t have a currency exposure”, was roughly what he said. He also said some less than nice things about that Mr O’Bama chap and a few others that would get me banned if I repeated them.
I think I would have been safer to have asked to be paid in gold.
