Contracting in Australia

I've tried searching the forums to no avail.....

I've got an opportunity to do 6 months work in Oz from March next year (which might end up with me emigrating over there if it goes well).

Has anyone here got any experience of contracting in OZ? Do they have umbrella companies, is there a trade body similar to the PCG, has anyone heard of Entity Solutions (who appear to be an "umbrella")?

It all very well looking on Google for these things but I much prefer to get information from the horse's mouth wherever I can.....
