    Recieving Payment From Dublin Co

Does the Inland Revenue have the power to look into payments from companies based in Dublin.

If your company is registered in the UK you can not charge VAT to the company being invoiced in Ireland.

However can payments be sent to non-company accounts for payments being recieved from dublin companies. Does the Inland Revenue have power to investigate this in Ireland.

If the IR think you're trying to defraud them (which it sounds like you are), they'll investigate you even if the payments are coming from Mars.

so if I understand your question..

you want your company to issue an invoice to an irish company and have them pay the invoice to your or your mates personal bank account.

yes, is the answer to your question - they would start to investigate as it appears you are tryinh to avoid paying lots of tax

There are circumstance in which VAT may need to be charged. It depends on what is supplied, the place of supply rules and where the end client is located. It would be unusual for vat to be required - but it is certainly possibly.
