    Dentist: Kerchiiing

So, went for my 6 (actually 8) monthly check up and clean.

Half an hours work = £60.
    (= £120ph = £840pd assuming 7hrs worked = £4200pw)

    Too late to retrain??

(Although, suspect it's not recession proof as my treatment normally costs £80 but the dentist has a special offer on, I suspect, because people are not going due to the credit crunch).

    Hedge your bets.

Retrain as a dentist and also specialise in dentures.

If people stop going to the dentist they will eventually need dentures.

    Boomed!

No no no. My fiancee is having laser surgery to correct her vision. 25 minutes work for the consultant, £3400 for the lot. Take off the £400 for staffing, admin fees, etc, thats £3000 for half an hour rounded up, 6k an hour or 48k a day.

I'm not sure whether I am NHS or private with my dentist. If I pay around £50 for a check-up + £30 for a clean with the hygienist (the dentist doesn't clean/scale any more) am I private or NHS?

Private by the sounds of it.

Those figures equate to what I would have paid if my dentist wasn't running her promo.

Swiss dentists. £300 an hour and up... I get my teeth done in Germany.

In all seriousness, your right, its the laser equipment that costs the money. Dread to think what the cost is
