We don't need all those failed doctors & failed nurses that like to pretend they know something about IT that make up the NPfIT workforce flooding the bloody jobs market.

Now I dearly want to see Jobserve ads that say:

NHS experience is a definite non-no.

It's about time all large Govt IT contracts that required custom implementation were stopped - it should work the old school way: a private company develops a system at its own expense and then markets it to all sort of buyers: any failures of the system is responsibility of the firm.

You mean they should speculate on the success of their venture?
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

It's not speculation when one invests long term into creating a product and then selling it in full or in parts.

Spoke with a GP last night that resigned from one of the committees on this, he said it was all politicians (very high up ones as well but i'm not naming names) speaking complete cack, he said he was only there so that if the decisions went wrong they could state a GP was involved in the discussions, he was never invited or given the opportunity to give any input.

Client Co has another division which sells this sort of thingie to US healthcare trusts. I expect they will get a boost off the back of any concrete announcement.

                    British Company too....
