    Get My Cushion Plumped...

    Bench for Christmas

Half the project has been binned and nobody's quite sure where the other half is going yet, so my services will no longer be required in the New Year

Looking forward to a nice little break and the chance to get properly stuck into iPhone app development

what kind of skillset you need for this

          Do you do requests?

If so, can you do a forum reader. I keep meaning to start, but I haven't been on the bench...

Objective-C (that's C with OO extensions that make sense, rather than that peculiar joke Stroustrup came up with), knowledge of the iPhone APIs (which are based on Cocoa, the OS X framework), the ability to use XCode and Interface Builder, and the ability to read documentation

It's easy enough to get stuff up and running that demos the various capabilities of the device. Developing an app that actually does something worthwhile is of course a different matter

Cheers 5* - though I could do with a break as it goes

Have you found a way to make it re-size nicely? I find all the ads on the side get in the way along with all the other faff.

Ah, right. I suppose it would be possible to construct a specialised browser that makes CUK's templates work correctly - actually, I notice as I type this on a Windows desktop with a 1280*1024 monitor that the ads are overlapping the smilies (I don't maximise windows).
