    Jaguar Land Rover reports car sales boost

    Midland luxury car make Jaguar Land Rover has followed up their first profits for more than a year with a big jump in car sales.

    The Gaydon-based firm - which has plants at Castle Bromwich and Lode Lane in Solihull - saw sales of Jaguars up 50 per cent for November compared to last year while Land Rover saw a 139 per cent increase compared to November last year.

    In total Jaguar sold 1,467 cars in November compared to 972 last November while Land Rover sold 2,474 cars compared to 1,034 last November.

    MG, which is still produced at Longbridge by Nanjing Automotive, sold 37 cars in November - taking the total to 360 for the past year. (AtW's comment: - well, their business doing well... )

    Last week JLR announced a profit of £22m for the past quarter.
