So Britain will apparently have to pay 60Bn in 2013-14 just to service the debt. How long before default? Is anyone going to vote labour again?

That is actually quite frightening. In the early nineties, an annual budget deficit of only half that amount was thought to be a disaster, but at least it was caused by borrowing to finance public services.
