The 60 Bn the PBR didn't mention...

So Britain will apparently have to pay 60Bn in 2013-14 just to service the debt. How long before default? Is anyone going to vote labour again?
We don't have to save the world. The world is big enough to look after itself. What we have to be concerned about is whether or not the world we live in will be capable of sustaining us in it.

Loads here on CUK are rampant lefties, so I would expect quite few.

That's only £1000 per child, adult or old person ... bargain...

He's seeing the Treasury Committee at 2:30.

He's going to get a bollocking for not revealing the Department Expenditure Limit projections in the PBR, and then he's going to have to give them. Which will be interesting....

Yeah, these: "my dad voted labour, and his dad before him" etc etc ... should just exterminate them at birth ...

Don't worry. The collapse of the GBP will make these payments seem insignificant. Gordon will save you.

That is actually quite frightening. In the early nineties, an annual budget deficit of only half that amount was thought to be a disaster, but at least it was caused by borrowing to finance public services. Now that amount is simply to service debt - we're not actually getting anything for it!

he's not getting the kind of kicking he should be getting at the moment from the Treasury Committee!
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

                    here's one for you all,

                    it has been stated above:

'So Britain will apparently have to pay 60Bn in 2013-14 just to service the debt'

who or shall we better say, whom, will be the recipient of the 60bn interest payments every year ?

                    funny old world
