    Exotic webcams

It's dark and I'm cold. There's threats of snow in the rain. I want sunny webcams and I want them now.

I know just what he means. From the Reef Grill/Royal Palms in Grand Cayman...

    The beach view: http://www.reefgrill.net/netcam/index.html
(There's two cruise ships, a trip boat and someone paragliding as I write this)

The bar view (a bit pants): http://www.reefgrill.com/netcam/index.html

The Gibraltar web cam has been knocked so it's pointing up and is out of focus: http://www.fsc.gi/webcam/view.jpg

Krooz Cams has loads of cruise ship bridge-mounted web cams but they were usually 1/3 dark and the rest pointing out at the sea and covered in rain drops. Surprisingly dull and disappointing.

(But not as disappointing as the Aberystwyth surf cam.)

Could these people look any more miserable? Despite being on holiday here.

Know any other links to sunny webcams?

Nasty and strong buggers they are too! We saw them rip through someone's backpack and empty it in seconds. There was building work being done at the caff at the top of the Rock when we were there in the spring. One of them leapt from the roof, to the ladder and from there to the railings. It sent the ladder flying in the process.

They've been culling them of late to keep the numbers down.

So where's a good, cheap and warm place to go to this time of year? Canaries? I just saw a return flight for under £100.

Choose you Canary island and resort carefully.

Some are chav magnets and are disgusting. Others on the northern sides of the islands are very wet and windy!

But certainly a cheap and quick way of seeing some sun.

Actually, the people on Aruba were really friendly when I went years ago. Nearby Curacao is another matter, they are inhospitable bar stewards.
