    reliable weather reports

    Are there any?

BBC, weather.com, met office and accuweather all completely different forecasts.

I like accuweather, mostly because I like the name of their long-range forecaster, Joe Bastardi

          Great name!

            Try these three.....

Been using Metcheck since 2005. They seem the best of the bunch, compared to any others I've seen.

XC weather is another good site, especially when giving info on windy weather.

            http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

Lastly Wunderground has some good current data + links to local weather stations.

All of the three mentioned above make the beeb's site look very average (except for the BBC TV weather video player), shame they have allowed it to get so dumbed down, as it was the pick of the bunch about 6 years ago.

The problem is that weather forecasting, like the news, now comes under the heading of 'entertainment'. The facts are not important.

I checked the BBC weather this morning, it said No snow for S Wales. 1/2 hour later it had changed to snowing in S Wales .
